I have retired from the world of accounting but certainly not from work !
I was the Firm Administrator for Biscotti Toback & Co CPA’s and took the company to its merger into MazarsUSA in 2012. As firm administrator, I had direct responsibility for all HR policies, procedures and issues including all benefit plans, compensation, employee evaluations for 50 employees and design and implementation of an employee handbook. I also administered all financial data, budgets, financial reports, vendors contracts and payments, and all banking requirements.
The IT department reported to me and I supervised all activities of IT including disaster recovery, backup and security, policies and procedures, software implementation and updating, and new equipment procurement and evaluation.
I administered many projects including moving the entire office twice, negotiations with landlords, and design and procurement of office furnishings and equipment. Any project required by the management team was under my jurisdiction. I supervised the merger into the larger firm in 2012 including coordination of all employees compensation, benefits, and data conversion in a seamless transition.
I bring all of the skills and knowledge to the company I started, The 4th Quadrant Services, which specializes in consulting in all areas of HR.
Prior to my role at Biscotti Toback, I was an educator and taught in the Long Island public school system for over ten years while raising two children, and working part time to grow the Accounting practice.
